Dr. Edrica D. Richardson was born in Tampa, Florida and raised in Nasssau, The Bahamas. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist in multiple states in the U.S. and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor; who has been working with a culturally diverse population of age, culture, ethnicity, marital status, etc. for over a decade.
Edrica received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and Women’s Study Certificate from Florida Atlantic University, FL; her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. During her training she worked with troubled adolescents, ADHD, transitioning college students, substance abuse issues, and young to geriatric adults who suffered from traumatic brain injuries.
Eager to gain a deeper understanding of systemic approaches Edrica completed her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. E expanded her training and developed a passion for working with couples and families with varying life issues, as well as, the LGBTQ community.
From a collaborative lens, she invites her clients into a strong therapeutic alliance through meaningful conversations that are rich with empathy, understanding, curiosity, coaching and personal empowerment. Her main goal is to help clients become their FULL-selves in both their personal and professional lives. With a passion for self-growth and continuous discovery, she offers, clients a space to process and heal from past trauma, make their own meaning, while providing opportunities for growth.
